I am currently on the edge to throwing my Computer through the window (lol)
For only that reason: I have a problem with my CD/DVD drive. Which is "meant" to be compatible to read/run "Counter-Strike Source"
This will probably mean nothing to some, if not most people.

I have checked all possible areas that my drives ain't plugged in, and they are plugged in and are working properly.
I have tried all drives that I have:

CD-RW
Got absolutely nothing! It just says that there is no disk to be found!
Anyone help out in this matter? :(

try googling it. I would also see if you can try booting it off autorun.exe so it loads it auto when you insert the disc. Maybe try re installing the game, maybe it did not create a boot file for the game. See if you can enter the game manually through your d: drive. Try another game see if it is detected. Need anymore Ill post more.

It doesn't read the disk, and my computer is already/always set to autorun

if you get the cd showing as in the disk drive but not running, you could click on the drive in the "my computer" screen, and then browse it and run setup.
However Idk if its even reading the cd since i'm not there to see the comp for myself :P

maybe its ownership rights on the disc. Try seeing who owns the disc on your computer.

I took the drive out and cleaned it as you said (Keith) Got nothing but a cut finger from it
It is installed and completely enabled

I am the owner of the disk, since I bought it :)

as long as you can run other dvds from it it is capable from that and you isolate any hardware problems. If you cannot run another dvd from it then you know right then that its a hardware or driver issue. Make sure you can run a disc from it. That isolates tons of problems.Because if it works with other dvds you know its one of a few things:
ownership rights on disc
Disc is damaged
or computer cannot run game due to its capabilities - which you already know that it is capable.

his drive appears though, he just gets a error. So they must be set right. I think its just a faulty drive.
