The Purpose of this Thread

I wish to create this thread so that we can clarify the roles of our leaders, and to help our leaders gain the most out of their roles.

Leaders have been chosen due to their unquestionable abilities to guide the Guardians of Honor on a continuous journey, through time, with their honor, integrity and the respect that they have gained as both individuals and GoH Leaders.

The ideas of leaders here are vital for the clan's survival. At this moment in time, September 2005, we are facing a "renewal period" after moving to our new Forums. This was in an attempt to renew activity and interest in the Guardians of Honor, and to provide its' current members with the top-notch service that they deserve.

As we are in the period, we are on the lookout for new members to join us. We, as leaders, need to try and provoke interest in the Guardians of Honor. How this is to be done should be a joint-decision amongst leaders. Anybody with any further ideas to how this could be done should post their ideas in this forum for discussion. It may be worth noting at this stage that we aim to have our own fully-operational website (not only forums) on show to the public in the future.

I wish to thank all current leaders for their efforts to this date; they are very much appreciated, and have not gone unnoticed.

I wish to also remind all leaders that they are able to email or PM me, or Lionstar, should they have any issues that they need addressing privately - or if you just want a chat :)

Pride GoH Leaders

I feel that this should be posted first, as it seems that these leaders have been looked lower upon. It is my intention that these leaders are treated equally as Clan Leaders.

Pride of GoH Leaders (POGLs) are responsible, not independantly, for the ongoing issues in our Pride of GoH ranks. POGLs are the friendly faces that the Jr. GoH members can turn to if they have any issues that they need addressing. This should be made clear to new Pride of GoH members.

If an issue is of an important nature, POGLs are able to turn to fellow Clan Leaders for support and guidance.

Once again, the efforts of POGLs are very much appreciated, and I thank all current persons in this position for their time and efforts, particularly in the recent transition to these new forums. Thanks :)

Clan Leaders

Clan Leaders are greatly respected by the Clan Members, and this level of respect should be a mutual feeling. Clan Leaders are expected to be diplomatic in their approach.

If a situation arises in which a Clan Leader feels insulted or threatened, then it is advised that they seek the immediate support of another Clan Leader. If you do seek the support of another Clan Leader, I advise that you allow this fellow Clan Leader deal with the situation on their own, if possible.

I shall offer all Clan Leaders (including JGLs) a Guardiansofhonor.co.uk email address. If a person is giving you a hard time on the forums, please take it up with them using GoH email. Doing so is much more professional, and can prevent many situations from turning nasty.

If things do get out of hand, it is advised that you email me, including any correspondance with the person in question, and I shall do my upmost to handle the situation.

Clan Leaders are responsible for the following aspects of GoH:

[1] - New Registrations

[2] - Clan Diplomacy (Allies etc.)

[3] - Internal Issues (particularly with Clan Members)

[4] - Supporting the Jr. GoH division of the Clan (Please encourage the JGLs to make and post decisions, rather than stealing their limelight. Clan Leaders are advised to post to raise the awareness of Clan Leaders supporting the Jr. GoH Ranks)

[5] - Clan Harmony (Ensuring that things are kept peaceful on the Forums, and private issues are steered towards Private Messaging/Email)

[6] - Keeping fellow Clan Leaders advised to decisions

[7] - Keeping fellow Clan Members advised to decisions

To help ease the burden on handling these different aspects, I advise that each Clan Leader Private Messages me with the particular aspect that they would be interested in dealing with. Should an issue occur that comes under one of the above aspects, it is advised that the Leader who has expressed an interest in handling that aspect is consulted if possible.

To clarify, Leaders are not confined nor restricted to one aspect of the Clan. Leaders are responsible for ALL of the above aspects, and as such, have authority in all areas of the Clan's operation. Assigning leaders to individual aspects, however, helps create a "Point-of-call" for Leaders should they require any assistance.

This is a thread that I had posted elsewhere for reference for the Leaders. I think many of you will find it an interesting read.
